Welcome Address – Dialogues on Mental Wellness 2026

Good morning everyone,

It is my privilege to welcome you all to Dialogues on Mental Wellness 2026, organized by the wonderful team at 2-Pages Book Club. My sincere congratulations to the organizers for creating a platform where literature, medicine, lived experiences, and meaningful conversations come together to address one of the most important issues of our time—mental wellness.

I also extend a warm welcome to our esteemed speakers—Ms. Neena Gupta, Mr. Jerry Pinto, Dr. Mazda Turel, and Ms. Saadia Azim. Each of you has, in your own unique way, inspired us to think deeply about resilience, compassion, truth, and the human mind.

At Divine Grace Charitable Trust, we believe that true service begins with compassion. Our mission is to create healthier and stronger communities through education, healthcare, and social empowerment. As we work towards collaborating and establishing educational institutions and healthcare facilities, we are committed to ensuring that mental health is not treated as an afterthought, but as a fundamental pillar of holistic well-being.

Today, despite tremendous progress in medicine, millions continue to struggle in silence because of stigma, misinformation, or lack of access to support. Mental wellness is not just a medical issue—it is a family issue, a workplace issue, an educational issue, and ultimately, a societal responsibility.

Conversations like today’s help replace silence with understanding and judgment with empathy. Every time we listen without prejudice, encourage someone to seek help, or create safe spaces for honest dialogue, we take one step closer to a mentally healthier society.

I hope today’s discussions inspire each one of us not only to learn but also to become ambassadors of compassion in our homes, workplaces, and communities.

Let us remember that a healthy society is built not only by treating illness but by nurturing hope, dignity, and emotional well-being. At Divine Grace Charitable Trust, we believe that every act of compassion has the power to change a life. Let us leave today with one promise—to listen more, judge less, and remind every person we meet that they are seen, they are valued, and they are never alone. Because a compassionate society is the strongest foundation for a mentally healthy nation.

May we be remembered not for the problems we solved, but for the hope we gave, the hearts we healed, and the lives we touched. Thank you.

On behalf of Divine Grace Charitable Trust, I thank the organizers, our distinguished speakers, and every participant for being part of this enriching and thought-provoking conclave.
